Double Blocks is a completely serviceable Tetris clone, that adds the ability for simultaneous 2-player gameplay. Created by a then-18-year-old college student, the game features ASCII text-mode "graphics" and gameplay that works fairly well, although there is no way to speed up a piece's drop without dropping it fully all at once. Single player mode gets harder as you progress with random blocks added to the bottom of later levels. The two player mode works as you might suspect, with two players sharing the same keyboard and playing against each other. There is no interaction between the two players. There is also a two player modem option (!) but unfortunately it's unavailable in the shareware version!
